TechRanch was founded in 2001 by a group of area business leaders whose goal was to assist Montana's small businesses and innovators succeed in the knowledge-based economy. Over the years, TechRanch has helped connect hundreds of entrepreneurs with investors, students and researchers.
In our first 10 years, TechRanch received awards and recognition from the Small Business Administration (SBA), the Montana Ambassadors, the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) and many others. TechRanch has been featured on NPR; in the Wall Street Journal and USA Today; in Entrepreneur, Forbes and Inc. magazines; and in many local and regional publications. Most importantly, since inception, TechRanch has served more than 300 start-ups who have created hundreds of high-paying jobs in Montana.
TechRanch is solely focused on helping to organize and host educational programming and networking events that help Montana-based entrepreneurs succeed. Planned events include the Montana Ener-Tech Alliance Speaker Series (with NorthWestern Energy), the Venture Capital in the Rockies (VCIR) conference and the ever-popular Pub Nights.
TechRanch is open to your ideas on how to help grow Montana's knowledge-based community. Many volunteers are helping think through the challenges and opportunities. Please with your comments, questions or suggestions.
